It rained first 2 days.. The people are slow to get to know but eventually warm and friendly like Korea. I was lost for hours in the pouring rain... I brought one pair of shoes that are now drenched completely thru. I've not found Zen here yet.... It's a lot of people, umbrellas, bicycles, cars, and tall buildings.
Very Pretty at night time and My favorite food is Japanese food but my husband does not like the food much...so far we eat in the hotel mostly.....He's a world traveler and I've not had much international experience and finding it hard to figure out what is going on and the pace is so fast.... can't really stop to think cause the sidewalks are moving alive with people at hurried pace...sometimes running, bicycling and they may be small but they know where they are going.... and there is not much room to step aside. The rains and sea of umbrellas made it more difficult to see where you are going and cold and wet too.
My feet are soaked, my hair is frizzed, I asked directions of 2 cap drives, 5 police/security guards with a Hilton card and Nishi-Shinjuku-6-chrome Shinjuku-ku and they could only show me where I was on the
map in Japanese..... OMG.... what a first couple of days....
